Recurring expenses in Moj Račun: subscriptions and rent without typing them in
Updated: 2026-11-04
Netflix, Spotify, a mobile plan, rent, a gym membership — such payments come with no fiscal receipt, and typing them in every month gets old fast. You enter a recurring expense once, and Moj Račun adds it by itself on the day it is due.
How it works
- It is an ordinary manual expense marked “Repeat”. It keeps its own category: Netflix under subscriptions, rent under housing, the plan under mobile. So recurring expenses count in your analytics like everything else.
- Nothing is made in advance. The expense appears on the day it is due, not months ahead.
- The past does not change. Changed the amount or stopped repeating — the expenses already in stay as they were.
How to make an expense recurring
- Tap + and choose Add expense.
- Enter the amount, pick the category and the date of the first payment. The note is a handy place for what it is: “Netflix”, “Rent”.
- Turn on Repeat and pick the period: week, month or year. Below it you see when the expense appears next.
- Tap Add.
The repeat date comes from the expense's date: if the first payment is on the 15th, the next ones are on the 15th of every month. If you pick the 31st, in shorter months the expense appears on the last day of the month; 29 February becomes the 28th in other years.
Subscriptions in euros and dollars
You can pick the amount's currency: RSD, EUR or USD. A recurring expense in a currency is converted to dinars every time at the middle rate of the National Bank of Serbia (NBS) on the day it is paid. Totals and analytics show exact dinars, and the expense itself shows how much it was in the currency and at what rate.
Where to see them all
Once you have at least one recurring expense, a Recurring card appears above your expense list, with the count and the sum a month. Tap it to open the Recurring expenses screen:
- the sum a month and a year (weekly ones count as × 52 / 12, yearly ones as / 12, currencies at today's rate);
- coming up — what is due this month;
- all of them by next date;
- stopped ones — while any of their expenses is left.
In your expense list, a recurring expense shows how often it repeats next to its date: “↻ monthly”.
How to change or stop one
There is no separate settings screen — everything is done from any expense of the recurring one.
- Change the amount, currency, category or note. The app asks whether to change only this expense or this and following.
- Change the period or the date. The schedule of the next expenses changes, with no questions.
- Stop it. Turn off Repeat and save. New expenses stop appearing; the ones already in stay. Turn it on again and it continues from the next date; what was missed is not made up.
- Delete it. You can delete just one expense or all expenses of the recurring one together with the repeating — before that the app shows how many expenses and what sum will go.
Every expense of a recurring one has a History block: all its expenses, newest first.
Recurring expenses in the family
If you are in a Family, switch to Family in the expense list — there is a Family recurring card. Its screen shows:
- what the whole family spends on recurring expenses a month, and how much is each person's;
- what is coming up and all the members' recurring expenses with their avatars;
- a hint when two people pay for the same subscription: a family plan might be cheaper.
Someone else's recurring expense is view-only — only its owner can change it. One hidden from the family is not shown to the family at all: not in the list, not in the total. Stopped ones are not shown in the family view.
Frequently asked questions
What if I don't open the app on the day it is due?
Nothing happens: the expense appears by itself, you don't need to open the app.
Can I make an expense I already entered recurring?
Yes. Open it, turn on Repeat and save — the next ones will follow its date.
A subscription got more expensive. What do I do?
Open the latest expense, change the amount and choose This and following. Past months keep the old price.
Will my family see my subscription?
Yes, if you are in a family and the expense is not hidden. Turn on Only you see it in the expense, and the family won't see it.
